Default Nair/Veet for light facial hair?

Hey all

I have light "peach fuzz" on my face. I am wondering if any of you have ever used a cream such as Nair/Veet etc on this hair with success? My biggest concern in having the hair grow in darker/coarser. Do you think this would happen? On the other hand, I am wondering if it would look odd to have no hair at all on the face? We all have SOME, ya know?

Any ideas?

Do you need to do anything? There may be a danger that whatever you do will make things worse rather than better.

Haven't done it, but don't even think of it unless you're going to use the varieties designed specifically for facial hair. They're not nearly as strong as those designed for use on the legs.

No, that's one thing that won't happen. The only hair removal methods which can lead to hair growing in darker or coarser are those which remove the hair by pulling it out from the root -- plucking, waxing, threading, mechanical epilation etc. And if the hair growth is very fine and weak, even those aren't likely to cause problems.

If you get all the hair on your face you'll probably be OK on this one. If you leave some of it, it'll be obvious. That's why, when I shave, I make sure I cover the whole of my face every time. There are areas of my cheeks I might not need to shave more than every second day, but I'm sure it would be showing up during the second day so I shave my whole face every time, even though the beard growth isn't equally heavy in every area.

DONT!!

I have made that mistake years ago in my youth! I used Nair for sensitive skin and it nearly ate the flesh of my chin (even tho I followed directions to the letter). Gladly it healed perfectly but I really advise against it!

Kora--really? Omg. Now I am too scared to do anything. Maybe I'll just leave my skin alone!

Leave it alone if possible - Im exactly the same, horrid peach thick fuzz everywhere and gradually the fuzz is turning black, just my luck. I tweeze my chin hair and snip the dark strays out my cheeks and use hair lightner for the sides of face. Not sure how I will deal with it when it all goes dark as shaving has made all my hair worse everywere else and my skin is super super sensitive to everything
