Sorry if this is overkill as Ive posted it soo many times. So I took NPC CD 17 or 18 and stopped taking it on CD 27ish. You also stopped taking yours CD 27 I think. So...if you got AF on CD 33, then do you think it would reasonable for me to think I ll get mine around there too? Ive been wondering ever since I got it because NOWHERE does anything say when you should expect AF. Ive never gotten AF later then CD 37 (that was without NPC)...and since you got AF on CD 33, are you going to try taking it earlier next cycle or stopping it earlier next cycle to try and make your cycle shorter? Just curious!

Hi there sweetie

I would like to say yes to your question but to be honest I am not sure :S

I dont have AF very offten and I believe I have a long LP.

All I can say is give it at least 14 days and if no af test and then start the NPC again.

This cycle I am only using it for 7 days to see if this makes my cycle shorter. I have noticed some changes already. I have lots of ewcm and am feeling more sexual then normal.

Anything else you would like to know, please ask away

Hi all I am new to this site and Iam taking some natural course to help with my PCOS!! I was dx with PCOS when I was 18. I have been ttc for a little over a 1yr. Very depressing to me. I was taking metformin and i didn't like the side effects at all. I am now taking Vitex and natural progesterone cream along with B6 vitamins and calmag. I got my menscycle on March 4,2008 and had I started charting my bbt kind of late. I am the doing the progesterone cream 14days and then i stop for 14days. So far I am on cd33 and still no AF... I know that I am not pregnant because I don't have any of the symptoms. I was wondering if someone know a little about progesterone cream??? When I got my AF in march I started taking the NPC on cd14. I noticed that when I did research it said to take it on cd10 to help with ovulation. SO another thing I am wondering is since I took it late did I mess up my AF from coming.
HELP SOOOO CONFUSED!!

I heard that taking in on CD 10 could interfere with ovulation, causing it not to happen? But Im right there with ya, on CD 32 with no signs of AF

We have been ttc for 3 years now. I started using NPC 2 cycles ago, the past cycle was extremely short, only 17 days I think b/c my cycles are usually anovulatory and my body was not used to the progesterone so I had breakthrough bleeding.
This cycle I am on cd 13 and my cervix is soft, high, open & wet!! My temps have been pretty even and it seems like I might ovulate this cycle!! I cannot even tell you how excited I am about this! I am going to confirm ovulation with 3 higher temps and then use the progesterone cream to supplement in the lp!
Keep fingers crossed that we catch the egg this cycle!

I've used NPC for quite a while now. It always brings on AF for me. Just a couple of things that I've noticed in this thread that I wanted to touch on...if you’re using the NPC while TTC, don’t start it until after you’ve confirmed ovulation as it can interfere with that. Since PCOS women typically have low progesterone in the luteal phase, that’s what we’re trying to replace using the NPC. I use it after I’ve confirmed ovulation, or if it’s an annovulatory cycle I just start it around CD 19 or 20 to bring on AF so I can try again. I use it for 14 days, then stop the cream. Usually I don’t even have to use it the full 14 days. AF most often comes after 12-13 days of using the cream. If you’re not TTC and just want to balance out your cycles, start it at CD14, use it for 14 days and stop if AF hasn’t come yet. If AF doesn’t come in 7-10 days, start another round of 14 days and see what happens. If you do happen to get pregnant, don’t stop using it without talking to your doctor about continuing using NPC or another progesterone supplement!

txstaci~ No, I have not seen an improvement in excess hair growth for myself, but I don't have a "lot" of excess...just the typical strays on my chin that I pluck, and a few on the sides of my face that I also pluck.

Hope2conceive~ I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you…hope you catch the eggie!

Nekke~ When using NPC while TTC, you don’t want to start it until AFTER you have confirmed ovulation either by OPK or BBT. It can interfere with ovulation if you use it before ovulation. I always wait until 3 days past ovulation to start it.

Magiccitymama~ I’ve never heard it can improve hair health. In what ways did that work for you? My hair is very thin, brittle and falls out very easily. I’ve been using NPC for years and never noticed a difference in my hair. Just curious to see how yours improved???

Soul cyster~ I rub it all over basically. Chest, inner arms, belly, soles of feet, sometimes I even use it in place of regular lotion after I’ve shaved my legs. I like to use it after a shower when the skin is warm and can absorb it a little better.

Hope I haven’t come off as “preachy”…I’ve just been a long time user of it and hope I can help others!

It's always great to hear other's experiences and you didn't sound like a preacher! I am just waiting to O here... hoping it will be tomorrow!
Do you use progesterone every month or do you take a couple of months off a year?

Every month. And AF comes every time.

I'm hoping SOMETIME soon AF won't visit me for a while...like about 9 months or so!

I don't know if NPC in and of itself will actually help you to O. You won't O while you're actively using it (as in the days you're actually applying the cream) because the progesterone hinders the ovulation process from what I've heard. Now, if it helps to balance hormones enough to get your body to O naturally on the cycle after you use it...I would think probably so for some women. It's worth looking into further. I use it for additional progesterone support in my luteal phase because I have low progesterone, and to keep AF coming on time because I'm actively TTC and need all the chances I can get to try to conceive! LOL

I hope I didn't offend you by posting what I did...and if I did, I apologize. There's nothing wrong with giving people encouragement and letting them know different options they might not have known before. That's what this board is all about!
