Definately, YES. There are too many reasons to list - no potential sides effects from the epidural, can walk & eat during labor, get to experience the process of birth more fully, can feel to push effectively, the list goes on an on.

I would like to have my babies naturally. I'm hoping I can handle the pain - I've been through a lot of pain w/ endometriosis, cysts exploding, a bent ligament holding my uterus in place, surgery, etc..... I'm hoping I can do it

I was telling DH last night I soemtimes like to feel pain - I can better understand what is going on in my body. I might be weirded out not feeling it....

I would like to have a natural childbirth but I don't think I will be able to handle it. I am hoping I can hang in there!

NO WAY, not for me. Pain was bad enough with the epidural (which only worked on one side). I admire other women who do it but if I had been in any worse pain than I was with DD (who got stuck in the birth canal on her way out) I probably would have passed out and not been able to push at all.

Hi,
Everyone is different I suppose, I was terrified of giving birth but decided I'd try my best and see how I went.
Well it was decided for me 3 weeks early on a routine visit an emergency c section required as my son was I.U.G.R. basically means he had stopped growing as he was not getting enough nutrients/blood flow etc.
I was awake for c section, just waiting to hear my baby was ok made me realise I wouldn't care how he got here as long as he got here safe.
I would opt for a c section now I think as I know what it's like and there is a good chance I hear if you have 1 c section then it's likely I would have to have another.

I did my first with just a bit of IV pain meds. That is the plan for this time as well if I need anything.
