Default Natural Killer Cells?

Has anyone been dx'd w/ this? I have a feeling that this is the cause to all my m/c's. I also talked to another dr who is an expert in RPL & given my history, he thinks it sounds like this also.

So, what testing did you get to determine this was the cause & what is the treatment for it? Have you had any success w/ treatment?

Thanks!
Traci

I just had my results about that today.

Right after I miscarried, they thought I had the "killer cells" and I was told that it can be fixed with pills and/or shots. When I got my results today, I found out that I have a clotting disorder called ADA (not sure what it stands for) and it means that my blood clots too much and when I get pregnant, there are so many clots in my uterus that when the embryo attaches, the blood supply gets cut off very quickly from it and the baby dies.

I am doing another fresh IVF cycle and everything will be the same (bc pills, lupron, etc...) until after the retrieval. Then i'll be on 81mg baby asprin, Lovonox, which is a blood thinner, and Heparin which is a blood thinner that i'll be on until I deliver. My doctor doesn't thin the blood until 2days before the transfer because during the retrieval, if I start to bleed from my ovaries, he'd never know and I could bleed to death.

I wouldn't be to worried as most, if not all of these types of things are fixable I was told. If you ever want to talk, please im me! It makes it much easier when you talk to someone who is having the same problem.

OMG I think this could be my problem! I have had 3 m/c's and an ectopic. I first thought I was rh- but am not and everything else is coming out normal.

Please tell what to ask my doctor about getting this tested accurately.

Thank you very much for this info Girls.

I don't know WHAT is done for it but I know that something can be done... the place I get my laser hair removal done is also a reproductive immunology clinic and this is the sort of thing they treat. I had never heard of reproductive immunology before but asked about it while I was having my chin done... and while I was paying, two pregnant women came in for blood work so I guess whatever they do there works for some people! So sorry I can't tell you what they do but wanted to offer some hope for you.
