Default natural m/c / drug induced m/c question

For those who have had a natural or drug induced m/c...how long did it take for you to start passing clots and tissue. I have been having severe cramping/pain for 24 hours now, bleeding lightly for about 18 hours and no clots or tissue have passed. The pain is pretty severe and I've had to take a good bit of pain meds and even that doesn't entirely eliminate it. I plan on calling my Dr in the morning but wanted to see what others have experienced also.

When I miscarried it was complete within 4-5 hours. I started bleeding heavily after about 2 hours of severe cramping. The sac and other tissue passed shortly after. I had about a week of bleeding with light cramping for about a week. I don't know what kinds of pain meds you have, but my dr. prescribed vicoprofen and it worked great. It just sort of made me feel numb.

Isadora, sorry to hear your news. I had bad cramping with my first but nothing with my second until after. Both of mine were natural but the first was in A & E with lots of painkillers so I was pretty out of it. I know this sounds really gross but both times I was advised to keep what I pass (maybe this is just what they say in UK so I apologise if it sounds wierd) but it's all really difficult. I found i sort of went into shock and did all that stuff without thinking and looking back can't believe i did.
Take care

Thanks ladies for your responses. Things are progressing along for me..finally. After about 36 hours of constant severe cramping(and very little relief with Darvocet), I finally started passing clots. My cramping is still pretty bad, but it's better than before. It's almost been 48 hours now since I started cramping(42 hours since I started bleeding lightly) and I haven't passed much, but I am at least passing some. Hopefully everything will pass and I won't end up having a D&C to remove the rest.
