Natural Progesterone Cream and Vitex Question

Hello! I've read a lot of the links but I don't seem to have absorbed the information I'm looking for.

I am diabetic on 1500mg/day of metformin. I take 1500-2000mg of cinnamon/day. I did three rounds of Clomid which DID make me ovulate but I didn't conceive.

I've got my husband on Co-Enzyme Q-10 and Damiana, although he passed his tests.

When I started this current cycle I started taking Vitex. On the advice of a poster I switched to the tincture from the capsules. I take 2mlx3/day. It's definately improved my energy levels! I feel a lot better!!

I also bought, at the natural stuff store, some Natural Progesterone Cream. But I haven't used it yet because I'm not sure when. And I don't know how long to keep taking the Vitex. Some things I read say to take the NPC from CD14-26, other things say to make SURE not to take it until after I ovulate. I've been told NOT to stop taking it if I get pregnant, other things to stop on CD26 which would be two to four days before I get my period. Or don't, as the case may be. (I don't skip periods, generally.)

I've read to take the Vitex from CD1-14 and then stop, and I've read other things that say to keep taking it and not stop. Some things say to take it straight through the pregnancy, other things say to STOP taking it during pregnancy.

So any advice? I'm a little lost!!

Today (Monday) is CD11 so I guess I'd better figure things out.

Hi Saille - I take 1200 MG of Vitex everyday. Ive heard here and there about taking it a few days but for the most part I think most take it everyday.
I love Vitex I did notice a difference with AF and O. You should check out this thread.

There is alot of information and alot of Cysters taking both Vitex and and Cinnamon.
As far as NPC...I have issues with that. That also helped with AF the 1st time i used it however from all the different rules I think you are really suppose to begin using it after you O, but if you dont O you should stop for 14 days and start again. Confusing right? I think you have to figure yout your body 1st. I didnt think I was going to O and it was like 20+ days later and I started NPC again for 14 days and when I was at the 12th day or so using NPC I Oed..since then no AF. One thing that I have read is not to stop if you become pregnant because the with drawal of progesterone can cause a M/C so you should consult your DR 1st to let them know you were using it and they will advise on how to proceed...maybe they will prescribe pills to help and then they will prob advise you to stop using the cream. Im on a NPC break for the moment but thinking about starting again soon.
