Please coud someone list the supplements recommended for improving mens sperm quality / quantity?

I have just come off the phone to my sister and she is distraught cos her AF just arrived. They got a BFP in 2007 after 18 months trying, but the baby died at 16 weeks due to an umbilical cord accident. They have been trying ever since they lost him in July 2007 and still nothing. She does not have PCOS but they believe her hubby may have a sperm problem and he is really nervous to get tested and keeps putting it off. She thinks he will be devastated if the results come back bad.

So, I was wondering, I know I have seen many people posting about vitamins and herbs and miraculous recovery of their DHs s/a. I had a quick search but couldnt find what I wanted, so was hoping someone could recap their experience here please?

Supplements for DH
Zinc 30mg
Selenium 100mcg
Linseed Oil 1000mg or GLA 150mg and EPA 300mg
Vit B6 up to 50mg
Vit B 12 up to 50mcg
Vit E 300-400iu
Vit C 1000mg
Manganese 5mg
L-arginine 1000mg
L-carnitine 100mg ("helps to increase the number of normal sperm in men with a high percentage of abnormal forms").
good multivitamin and mineral supplement, such as Fertility Plus for men

Not sure what each one will do ...maybe you can run it by her but the bottome ones seem to help with increasing counts...

Hi Claire - sorry to hear about your sister....

My DH has been using Fertility Aid for men for a little over two months and we say great improvement from his first SA to the second one. Fertility Aid has all of the stuff that is on the list that Snow posted originally. DH's problem was his morphology (appearance) and it improved dramatically a bit. Both his count and motility also increased (this wasn't the issue)... so since we saw the number go up in all categories it told us that it is definitely working. HTH
