Many people around here use Vitex and Dong Quai (sp?). I use Black Cohosh and it has worked really well for me - even ovulated first cycle. You could do a search of the list to find out more.

I take VItex with my Glucophage XR. I bought the FIngerprinted kind from GNC. It was 7.99 for 90 capsules. I take one a day everyday. I started it in late May, had AF July 1st, again in August, and am spotting right now and will probably start any minutes. I know for sure I ovulated this cycle too because of severe Mittelschmerz pain and EWCM.
GOOD LUCK!

I think the Vitex/Dong Quai combo have been really good for several people, and also you could check out False Unicorn Root.
Lastly, many people have used soy as an alternative to Clomid days 5-10, so you could try that (but maybe you should try a couple cycles with the other herbs first? - of course, up to you).
Good luck!

If you consider trying soy, please research the possible negative effects - particularly to the thyroid. Here is an extract of a piece written by a nutritionist:
"Taking 40mg of isoflavones ... I tried the experiment on myself and developed full blown hypothyroidism in 10 days."

I agree. I have my thyroid checked every cycle I am on it by my OB...just in case.
