Default Natural Suggestions Please?

So since i take a lot of prescription meds for other reasons than the PCOS (tho i am on Met for type 2 diabetes at 850 mg per day) i've decided to look into a more natural approach to regulating my period and getting pregnant. My fiancee and i have been trying since Jan but alas no luck. and to top that off i havent had my period since March.

Someone on here a while back recommended Vitex and Primrose oil. Does anyone else have any input? anything that might help regular my cycles and increase fertility? I have been taking b6 for a few weeks now because i heard it helped regulate periods but so far, i've got nothing.

So if anyone has any input on what i've mentioned or other things it would be super helpful. I was also looking for info on good places to obtain these kinds of things. Does anyone have a site that for real perhaps? I of course only for the b6 at a drugstore but not the others.

thanks for reading and i really going forward to the help!

I have had two regular cycles (33 days and 35 days) since I started Zinc (30-45mg/day). But I also drink 2-3 cups of spearmint tea during my early cycle, so it's hard to say what has made me more regular and of course 2 cycles is pretty little information.

My opinion is that you should try to bring af with either natural progesterone cream of with synthetic progesterone first. After that you could try some natural remedies to keep your cycle shorter. I recommend zinc and spearmint tea as it seems to work for me but there are lot of different methods as well. For most of us it's just try and error how we find what works with us. I'm happy with my current cocktail as it's fairly cheap.

I've used also soy isoflavonoids before during cd 5-9 and it worked for my 1st round - I ovulated as soon as cd 12! But otherwise it didn't seem to work for me in the long run. My earlier tries with vitex and royal bee pollen were just doomed as I end up with my longest cycle ever - 156 days!

I hope you find your way! And good luck with ttc!

Oh, sorry I sometimes take those for granted. Cd is actually cycle day (first day of you period is cd 1) and af is aunt flow (your menstrual period).

Natural progesterone cream you can buy from most of the health food stores or you can ask your doctor to a script for synthetic one, which is in form of tablets. I'm not from USA so it's hard to me to recommend any stores as I don't know any there but you can get NPC (natural progesterone cream) also from Internet.

There are lot of good threads about almost every natural med and herb in this section that could be useful for you to find more information. It takes a lot of reading but I think it's worth it. But as I said most of us find our way through try and error.

I am on the progestrone cream and I do get an RX from my doctor. You can buy the cream at health food stores but my doc.told me it is better to get a doc. that will RX b/c everyone's body needs a different amount of the cream. For me they check my hormones every so often and adjust my cream to my hormone readings or if I am having certain "side effects" (sore breast, not sleeping, irritable)then they know how to adjust my cream dose based on those too. I recommend finding a doc.who will work with you on the cream and what your body needs dose wise, but it is up to you!!!GL!!!
