Selenium supposedly helps with T4 to T3 conversion, and has been shown to reduce antibody levels. I had antibodies present last year (58, lab range was ">60"); I've been taking selenium daily for months, then I was retested last month. This time there were no antibodies present. My other thyroid tests have been in normal range. I don't know if it was a fluke or if the selenium helped; I continue to take it (200 mcg a day).
