Default Nausea

My two meds are causing me to be extremely nauseous. I have felt this way for I believe 2 weeks now. My dr office said to scale back on the meds which is working a little but still not enough. I feel like I'm going to throw up at any moment basically all day.

Now to the point....does anyone know of anything that will help. I have tried ginger pills and that doesn't work. Teas (any kind, peppermint and ginger included seem to make it worse). I'm at my wit's end! I can't feel like this anymore! Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Hi Ashley!

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. I take Byetta, which can cause extreme nausea. On a Byetta message board I heard about people using sea bands. It's a bracelet that uses acupuncture to stop nausea. It works for a lot of people on there. I believe you can buy them at any big name drugstore like Eckerd.

hi there,
about 18 months ago i suffered from extreme nausea while on the pill. i was sure i was not pregnant, but it really felt like morning sickness.

the only advice i can give you is listen to your body. if there are certian foods that the very thought of makes you want to vomit then do your best to stay away from them and avoid their smell. often i found when i was sick i craved sour things such as lemon juice, red wine vingerette chips and even tartare sauce! if you have any weird cravings like that i would suggest you go with em. i reckon often the body craves what it needs.

also i eventually went to my doctor as it got so bad and he perscribed some pills which were sposed to help but i never got round to taking em as it cleared up shortly after. i had a hard time convincing him i was not pregnant but eventually he listened to me (when i told him my lesbian partner was waiting in the waiting room lol) and gave me the pills.

hope you feel better soon!! **HUGS**
