Default Nausea and Fatigue everyday...

I've been on Met for 6 weeks now.

Week 1: 500 mg
Week 2: 1500 mg
Week 3-6: 2000 mg

I've had little to no side effects weeks 1-4 (aside from some diarehha), but this week and last week I have almost constant nausea and fatigue.

We are TTC, but I do not have my period (due to PCOS), so I'm not sure I O (I haven't started charting or using OPK's yet).

Do you think this nausea and fatigue are just side effects of the MET or is it possible? The nausea is what i'm really stuggling with. It's horrible. I haven't thrown up yet, but I feel like i'm going to all day...sometimes I gag, especially when drinking.

I make sure to take my MET with food. It just doesn't make sense that it would make me nauseas all day long.

Thoughts?

I know I need to take a preg test...but I don't want to jump the gun. I get really emotional.

Actually - I do have a few other things going on....TMI for sure, but..

My vag has been weird the last few days. It's dry and slightly irritated. It's not a yeast infection (i've had one before), but i'm not sure what's going on. I usually have the opposite problem. I bought some vagisil to make myself a little more comfortable, but I'm still not sure what the root of the problem is.

Also - i've been seriously MOODY lately. Screaming, crying...it's not pretty. My poor husband.

Hey!

I don't want to crush your hopes, (because I secretly hope so all the time too) but, from what I've read the moodiness, fatigue, and nausea are all side effects of the Met. I have only been on mine since Friday at 500mg 2x a day & I just got hit with the EXTREME fatigue yesterday. I went to bed at 8:00 instead of 11:30! And I overslept. Today I am so pooped I can barely lift my arms! I have been having major GI problems too, including vomiting. I think my doc started me out too high, but I'm no doctor so I don't complain.

As for the vaginal dryness is it followed by a recent couple of days of extra wet-ness? It is very common to be extra dry as you dry up from your eggwhite creamy cervical mucous (which is what you have when you O!) I'd start temping now & then start full-on charting the next period you get. (18 high temps in a row= pregnant!)

Anyway, I'd take a test. Do you have Dollar Store or a Dollar General? They have tests for $1 that work just fine. If its negative I'd start charting. I recomend ovusoft.com!

Default The fatigue!

I just started Met, 500 mg. once a day. I considered myself lucky that I didn't have any major stomach upset, just the need to pee all the time. But I have noticed that I've been sooo drained. At first I didn't think anything about it being connected with the Met, but when I found out that was a side effect, it made sense. I even worked out this morning trying to get my blood rushing and energy level up, but to no avail. Does this last for the whole time someone is on the medication, or does it get better as you go along? I'm supposed to increase the Met to 1,000 mg per day next week.
