Default Nearly 24 weeks and still hardly showing...!

Ok... i've had a lot of controversy over this one. I'm nearly 24 weeks along and still fitting into my regular clothing. My mom says that I"m finally to the point where people look at me and think... is she pregnant? I've heard everything from, well just be glad you won't have a lot to lose, to, ARE YOU EATING!?! Yes I'm eating. I'm trying to maintain a healthy and balanced diet, which is challenging when I have almost no time to restock my cupboards. I'm just getting frustrated because I have these pregnancy clothes sitting in my closet that STILL do not fit me! The ongoing joke with my family right now is that I'll wear them the last two weeks of my pregnancy. Anyone else experience this?
I am wearing maternity pants, simply because I got tired of feeling squished in, but they too are a little big.

I know that sounds like it sucks I am on the other end I'm only 13wks and already showing, lol. I am still not that big but I know you want to see your bump. I mean its like you know its in there but you sometimes have to see things to belive them. I am already having to buy new clothes. I literally don't even know what I'm going to wear to work in the am.

I just pray that I don't become humongous towards my later months. It will probably sneak up on ya. You're going to wake up one day and be like whoa where did this come from.

I'm 34 weeks and still have a very small bump. The question I get the most is, "So when do you find out what your having?" and I'm like "Ummm, 4 months ago." LOL!

I'm still not showing all that much. I just look chubby. A co worker the other day knows i'm pregnant and goes.. so how far along are you? I said about 6 months.. He almost fell over said he thought maybe 3 at the most. I have a rubber band on my pants but no actual maternity pants needed. Just wonderng, how tall are you? I'm 6 foot with wider hips so I'm just assuming she lays low and has more room inside than having to start poking out.

If your doctor says everything is fine and baby looks good, there is nothing to worry about. All women carry differently and some only have very small bumps. I think sometimes fluffier cysters will show later, too, and you will generally show later with your first pregnancy than with subsequent ones. I think there were probably still people at work who didn't realize I was pg with my DD at 24 weeks. I don't have a 24 week belly shot from then, but I have one from 22 weeks. I was in maternity jeans at that point, but mostly because others were uncomfy around my belly. The maternity jeans were still kinda big.

The last month or so with DD I was wishing the bump were not quite so big!

Im 18 weeks and barely showing. I still can wear my normal clothing just fine. I've lost 6 lbs since I got pregnant, prob cause Ive cut candy and desserts out of my diet mainly because they make me nauseous (I couldnt believe that one! LOL!). My doctor hasnt said a thing about my weight.

I'm sure you are fine as long as your dr. isn't concerned. It can be concerning because pregnant women are supposed to "gain a lot of weight". If you are still not showing in a couple of weeks, I'd talk to your dr. about it. He/She might have some suggestions.

frustratedwife- I know how you feel! I have been tiny the entire time also. People don't believe me now when I tell them I'm due in 3 1/2 weeks. They think I am still 3 months away from being due. I also get the "Are you eating?" question. I honestly don't know where all my weight is going because I was 126 lbs before getting pregnant and 160 lbs now! Here is a picture of me at 36 weeks, as you can see I don't really have much of the pregnant belly. I've learned that everyone carries very differently. And I am happy with my weight gain and so is my dr. And as far as the baby being too small or not. I had my last u/s today and he is weighing 6 lbs and 3 oz so he is perfect weight for this stage. If you need to vent I'm always here

Everyone carries differently, you may not get very big if you have a long torso, a friend of mine never wore maternity clothes and she had a 9lb girl! She looked maybe 3 months preggo. Dont stress yourself, you will prob wake up one day with a basketball belly out of nowhere!!!!!

I am 5'4" and my starting weight was I'm guessing about 125. My doctor is completely fine with my weight gain. As of my last appointment I had only gained 10 pounds. I feel like the only place I'm gaining weight is my chest! I feel like they're trying to keep up or something. I've changed bra sizes at least once, and the current ones I have are on the small end. Not going to do anything though until I need nursing bras. I'm guessing maybe it has something to do with her telling me that my uteris was tilted backwards?

Ha! So I'm not alone! One of my friends tells me that maybe it will be good if I don't get very big, cause I already have back problems as it is. Which maybe she's right. I just can't help feeling guilty about the money spent on maternity clothes that aren't returnable because of the rediculous return policies that so many stores have on their maternity clothes. Course I'm a photographer too... and I've been hoping that I'd have enough of a stomach to do some nice maternity shots with my husband for christmas cards. My last U/S showed that my baby was a bit small for how far along we are, but the doctors really aren't worried, and neither am I. Actually my doctor says that with my size I won't be able to deliver a baby over 6 pounds naturally. So I'm COMPLETELY ok if she's small! lol.
I'm not really freaking out. Just wishing I looked a little more pregnant. I keep up with the week by week pregnancy sites online, and they were saying this week I'm thinking 'Why can't I see my feet?!" but my real thoughts are "Why can I still see my feet?!" LOL. Hey at least this way I don't have to worry too much about strech marks! I've been keeping my stomach all nice and moisturized cause I want to do anything to avoid them if at all possible!

I bet the belly will still come and you will still get plenty of chance to wear (and get sick of) the maternity clothes in your closet. I'm 32 weeks and only within the last month or so did people who didn't know me start realizing that I am pregnant. And even now I can mostly conceal it in certain outfits. I wore maternity clothes around 18 weeks but mostly because I couldn't stand to have anything tight around my belly and I had to wear the maternity shirts to cover the waistband on the maternity pants.

Haha I know what you mean about seeing your feet... I can still see my feet when I'm standing up! lol As for stretch marks, I thought the same thing. I used lotion EVERYDAY and was glad I had a tiny belly then at week 33 I discovered 2 stretch marks.... That in the last 3 weeks has turned to about 30 stretch marks lol. They are small though and are really low on my stomach under my belly button.

I'm sure you'll Balloon out eventually. OR, act like you didn't know and you can be on "I didn't know I was pregnant" lol.

Count yourself lucky I'm at 12w and I just spent over $250 yesterday on maternity clothes that do fit. I have lost 9lbs but the belly is still already sticking out making my normal pants uncomfortable.

I wouldnt worry to much about it as long the baby is growing and developing normally. I wore my regular jeans and clothes to the hospital to be induced..lol And my baby was of normal size 7 lbs 2 oz. Everyone carries differently.
