How do you explain to someone you don't want hands on your face because of the fear that your partner will feel that you shave or wax your "beard"?
My partner knows about PCOS.. she knows i have it and knows my symptoms... but still I i fear having her hands on my face because of the hair growth. I am so afraid she will feel it, yet she tells me no matter what she accepts it because it doesn't change who I am as a person... Its hard cause i love carresses but I just can't admit this one to her for some reason.
Help..

I can sympathise with you. I don't want anyone touching my face either for the same reason, and turning away on my hubby isn't that nice ... he knows why I do it though.
You know, all it takes is a few words to tell her, and that's it done. You will probably feel a great relief with it yourself, and maybe not as tense if she does touch your face. She loves you for you no matter what

My boyfriend knows I'm not comfortable with him touching my neck or 'sideburns' area. While I haven't totally divulged that it's because it's stubbly, I just told him I'm not comfortable with him doing it.
I still get all the caresses I need - but they tend to be on my cheeks, forehead, back of the head and other places that don't force me to cringe.
good luck! and enjoy all that you can.

Your partner loves and likes you for who you are, if she had a problem with it she wouldnt be with you. my partner loves me for being me, she doesnt mind the hair on my body, or on my face, even when i leave it for a few days to give my face a rest from its daily shave...
As i said in another post on here, what is normal.. ok the whole world thinks its normal for women to be hairless and men to be covered like apes..lol.. i know some men who hate being hairless and wish they had my hair..lol..
Normal is different to everyone, i have grown up being hairy so to me its normal. My friends like me for who i am and dont give two hoots about my excess hair (my theory is that it keeps me warm..lol i dont feel the cold much). Some have asked me why i am hairy, and i tell them i have pcos and that its one of the symptoms of it.. then thats their curiosity over.. and they are fine.
I find its the ignorant people of this world who stare or comment because they know no better and half the world dont slot into their blinkered outlook on what is normal...
My partner actually enjoys my hair, and maybe its just me, but i find it a turn on when she strokes my arms, same on my legs and stomach.. even to my sideburns.
For most of the year i leave the hair on my body, but in the summer i sometimes shave my legs.. my theory is that the sun wont get to them through the hair...lol my best mate always laughs at that theory..

What has helped me greatly is using products like Biore Beyond Smooth, or Aveeno Positively Smooth, etc. These are moisturizers that make hair less noticeable, because they contain special conditions that soften facial hair, to make it look thinner. It makes the hair so soft you don't feel stubble.
A lot of folks mistakenly believe these moisturizers slow down hair growth like Vaniqa. They do not, but what they do is take away that "stubble feel." They really help, and I love these products.
In fact, with facial hair being a problem for so many ladies, not just ones with PCOS, I can't believe more companies have not jumped on the bandwagon and come out with more products!
