need some advice I have had PCOS since been 18 i am now 30, for the first couple of years i was seen someone at the hospital, who has put me on diannette, and am still on it 12 years later, is this healthy, my doctor says it is nothing to worry about. I am worried and my doctor says i am worrying for nothing, am i been parnoid. I have been suffering from tinglely fingers, been overweight and tired all the time (worried for diabetes) am i been daft or not; has any one got a good gyn doctor in england, please reply at wits end. kerry
I don't know too much about BCP's as I had to come off Dianette shortly after starting due to other problems. If your not happy with your doctors advice, I would get a 2nd opinion. I have read that it's healthy to give BCP's a break every so often but I don't what the implications of doing that or not doing that are. I'm surprised your doctor has dismissed your tingling and tiredness
Where abouts in England are you? I hope someone can recommend a good Gyn doc near you.

Definitly get a check for diabetes and Insulin resistance. Many things (small to serious) can cause tingly extermeties. FIL has tingly legs due to MS, but diabetes can cause nerve damage that can result in tingly feeling. Bad circulation can also cause a tingly feeling.
Also get tested for thyroid problems, as that can cause tiredness.
