Default need a boost, please!!!

I was doing really well the week before last. I started going to the gym and eating low carb. Then, I got a severe case of the stomach flu and missed a whole week of work. Now, I want to eat anything and everything. I'm trying my hardest to not eat anything bad.

To top it off, I'm going to Italy in 6 weeks. I'm so worried about going and being "fat." I weigh 235, and wanted to shed some weight before then. I've heard how everyone is so pretty and thin, and look immaculate, and I feel like my boyfriend is going to think i'm atrocious compared to these women. I know i'm lucky to be going, but i still can't get excited about it.

Help!!!

Thank you, TxLady

Your words of encouragment are treasured. I hate feeling this way, but it's hard for me not to. I always try to remember that he loves me for me, but I keep edging up the scale, and every pound it gets harder and harder to remember. I am going to get on my bike at home tonight, and will make a personal promise to exercise as much as I can and try to eat right.

I'm going to see my family in Italy, and hopefully, they're not all thin! Thanks for your boost!!!

Hi, dieting is hard, not matter what the circumstances. Throw in being ill, and well don't be so hard on yourself. Just take it a day at a time, try your hardest and if you make a mistake start over. You'll find that taking some of the pressure off of yourself might make it easier. I'm sure your boyfriend loves you for you. If he were to change his mind just because he sees some women who are built differently than you, well then he wouldn't be much of a boyfriend anyway. I know it's hard, especially when you feel down. Hang in there, have a great trip, focus on all of the fun you're going to have, be yourself and let us know all about it. I'm so jealous. LOL Luck to ya. And, if you find a magic weight loss key, share the wealth with me, ok?
