Hi Lisa. I live in Alabama also. I live in the small town of Piedmont. About 30 minutes from Anniston/Oxford. I am currently seeing a doctor in Jacksonville about 10/15 minutes from my house. His name is Dr. Shan Young. He is a christian doctor. I have had female problems all my life and my mom took me to about 4 different gyno's trying to find out what was wrong with me. Every doctor said that I would grow out of it. I was 11 when she started taking me to doctors and im now 25 and Dr. Young told me on my first visit to him that he thought I had pcos. He did blood work & it confirmed that I do have pcos. On my first & second visit to him he was great. He took all the time I needed to answer any questions me or my husband had. But on my third visit to him, for a 6 month check up he was totally different. I felt he was trying to rush me. I didnt get a chance to ask all the questions I had for him. There have been several times since then that ive had problems with the women in the office also. And as far as getting test results back, its very hard with him. Im looking for a new doctor myself. There arent that many ob/gyno's around where I live. Most of them arent taking new patients and the ones that are taking new patients arent good doctors....lol I dont know exactly where Foley is. If you could help me to better understand exactly where you are, then I might could help you find a good doctor close to you. I have a friend I met on this site from Montgomery & she loves her gyno to death. She also knows of several good doctors. So if you can let me know more about where you live, we will find you a good doctor. You can email me anytime you want too. I havent found many women from Alabama with pcos so far. I look forward to hearing from you.
