You'd have to travel for the ones I've used...
I've gone to the clinic at UNC Chapel Hill (look them up on the web).
Duke is great too (good things heard about Dr Brown) but they aren't on my "available doctors" list.
If you want to try Traditional Chinese Medicine (which has been my best luck so far) I recommend Dr. Serano in Fayetteville, NC (2 hours is a ways, but he's FANTASTIC). He's had 2 PCOS women prior to me, both successful. And since I just got my period this morning and am only in my first month of treatment with him...he's pretty high on my "recommended" scale.
Haven't heard of anyone in Charlotte who was PCOS friendly. Doesn't mean they're not out there, only that I haven't heard of them.
Best of luck.
Cammie

I go to Dr Mary Crowder with the Bradford Clinic. She is at 2 locations. One on Providence Rd and one on Park Rd by Mercy South. If you are TTC she may be able to help. She told me that when I am ready to TTC she can help me. Other wise told me to stay put on the meds I was already taking.

I also go to Dr Thomas Parker who I love. He is an Internal Med doc but has sent me for a bunch of test for the PCOS. HE is testing me now for IR.

Hope this helps some.

Danielle

What a coincidence!! My husband and I are moving to Charlotte in October and my only reget is leaving my Endocrinologist here! I was just diagnosed 3 weeks ago and have been put on Gluc xr and am doing great! No signs of a period, but no real side effects either!! We are desperatly ttc--I will look up the woman doctor when i get there!! Thank you so much!! Hopefully my new insurance will cover her! Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Much luck

I typed this once but it seems to have not posted...here goes again..
There is a program called REACH (reproductive endocrinology associates of charlotte) They are directly beside and affiliated with the presbyterian hospital.
I went there when I lived near Charlotte. They accomodated me and my schedule as much as possible.
I also could not travel to duke or chapel...
The web site is www.ivfsuccess.com
Hope this helps...their web site is very informative if you want to call for an appointment or a consultation...they used to have a waiting list.
They also had several alternative options for paying if your insurance did not cover everything.
