First of all allow me to thank each and every one of you for sharing on this forum. It really helps me to try and understand what my wifey is going through with PCOS.
We are looking for a GREAT endocrinologist in our area for some help. Of course we are wanting to start a family, but of more importance right now is my wife's health. In addition to the usual PCOS symptoms, her cholesterol is pretty high, she's got a fatty liver so her liver functions are up, and she is struggling to lose weight. For the most part we eat pretty well (low GI, lean meats and cheeses), but we both could use to work out more. We have seen one RE in our area, and he didn't really have much to offer on the PCOS front. They seem to be more of a baby in a box place instead of helping with PCOS. She has an ob/gyn who has some experience with PCOS, however I don't think it's enough.
We want a ROCKSTAR endocrinologist who specializes in PCOS. It seems very hard to find anyone who knows a lot about it. I love my wife very much and it's clear we need some help with PCOS so I can have her for life.
I've been seeing Dr. Feferman over in Irving since the beginning of the year. He's somewhat decent, knows what he's doing but seems a little distant? But who knows, I've only seen him like 3 times and no longer than 20 minutes probably. I'm not sure, but I absolutely adore the other girls in the office especially their dietician. She's helped me tremendously by really focusing on what I need to be eating and choosing specific high quality supplements.
The other nice thing is that there's a chiropractor and esthetician in the same office so it's easy to swing around to see everyone and they're all on the same page b/c they have access to your medical files.

I have seen Dr. Robert Kaufmann in downtown Ft. Worth and I highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and very empathetic to his patient's circumstances. I've done two IVF cycles and gotten pregnant with both, the first twin girls and the second a single girl.
I saw Dr. Kauffman a couple of months ago. He was very nice and took a lot of time to explain things to me. However, he said he didnt care much for all the blood work and tests that my regular endocrinologist had done on me. He wasnt as concerned with my testosterone, etc. I havent been back, but that doesnt mean I wont go back to him. I am trying out a couple of other doctor first.
