Default Need a good hummus recipe

I really like hummus, but think it would probably be cheaper for me to make my own rather than pay over $2 for an 8 oz tub (only 4 servings if you want at least 6g protein!). Does anyone have a good recipe for hummus? Thanks!

I like this one, but don't make it very often...

Turkish hummus

1x400gram can chickpeas
1/2 cup or 130 grams tahini (sesame seed paste)
2 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup or 80ml lemon juice
salt and freshly ground pepper

1. Drain chickpeas and reserve the liquid
2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini paste, garlic, lemon juice and seasonings. Process adding enough reserved chickpea liquid to make a smooth consistency.

Makes 2 cups

1/4 cup = 6grams protein, 10grams fat, 4grams carbohydrate, 4 grams fibre, 558 kilojoules or 133 calories.

Thanks, Rhon, for the recipe. That seems like a lot of fat to me. The one I bought only has about 4g of fat per 2oz serving (about 1/4 cup, I think). I'm guessing the fat comes from the tahini? Anyone know of a good recipe that's a bit lower in fat?

Default Hummous

I make the same reciepe as rhon but i dont add tahini. I find its a lot nicer without anyway. Also i sprinkle a bit of paprika on the top and add a bit more lemon juice.
