I was diagnosed about 7 years ago when my husband and I found ourselves in the office of a fertility specialist. He immediately put me on Glucophage 1500mg daily. I was pregnant with my first child within the year. Since then, with the exception of times during pregnancy, I have been under the care of an endocrinologist to manage my PCOS. Still on 1500mg to manage PCOS symptoms even though I am not trying to become pregnant. My symptoms are severe when not treating PCOS. My problem is that I believe that I have become sensitive to the metformin. I have diarrhea and vomiting frequently and am very run down. I simply cannot predict when I will react to the medication. I want to find a knowledgeable doctor who can work with me. I live in the Maryland, Virginia, DC area. Please help. I am sick ALL of the time.
