You might want to check with State Farm or Humana. I think both places offer Individual Health Insurance Plans. Good Luck finding one that works for you.

I'm in the same boat. My heatlh insurance sucks too. I pay almost $500 dollars a month and of course no infertility procedures are covered. I also just found out a couple of months ago when my dr billed my that my insurance doesn't cover any shots until I have satisfied my $1000 deductible ( of course I never reach my deductible in a year before it flips back to zero). I feel that good health insurance is probaby so expensive not the regular person could afford it.
Good luck on your insurance hunt.

Try going to insure.com and getting a health insurance quote. Look for the highest "best" rated insurance company. Be careful and always read co-pay and deductible information carefully, as well as coverage terms and limits. As you have a pre-existing, you are going to pay more and may have difficulty in getting underwritten. Always ask the insurance company how long the rate will be in force. Some companies will offer you a low rate to get you in and then jack it up each month. Make sure you can lock it in for a period of time. Golden Rule, Humana, Blue Cross are all reputable companies. Beware though of what "isn't" covered by your policy.
It's going to be expensive any way you look at it. Is it possible for you to get a part-time or full-time job with group coverage?
If you can't get insurance and you can't work, what about the county health department in your area? A last resort, but if you need it, is it there?
Health insurance companies suck for the most part. I had Kaiser and though the system is easy, the choices are limited. Now I have a ppo and though the choices are much better in terms of who I can see, I still have to figure out in network, out of network, I don't understand why sometimes I have to pay and other times I don't--it's a real hassle.
I saw something on the news that Mass. is going to ensure everyone who lives there has insurance and you can buy it from the state for cheap (or even free depending on income). I truly hope other states (like CA) followsuit.
In terms of finding cheap insurance, my friend could not get insured due to his diabetes, and ended up getting into a school and getting cheap insurance. I think you can also do this at community colleges too--most any school offers some kind of insurance plans even if they don't advertise it--plus you don't have to be a full time student. My sis is considering this since she is her own boss and will soon have to pay out of pocket--approx. 400 a month. If she takes a couple of aerobics/exercise classes at the local JC, she will be able to purchase cheap health insurance despite her pre-existing conditions (I think 70 bucks a month) and get in a good workout for less than a gym. Plus, w/ schools there is no health questionnaires or tests necessary.
And I agree about being careful about selecting a plan. W/ Kaiser they initially offered me a $30 a month health plan several years ago--by the time I left it was nearly $300 a month.
Thanks for all of your suggestion.. But I recently checked out some free quotes at insurancepaylite.com they have a couple of known companies here and found out good benefits from there service.. My cousin told me about this and find it reliable.. Thanks maybe i can use all of your suggestion in near future..
