 Need Help Interpreting Thyroid Testing
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me interpret my thyroid test results. I'm with an HMO and everything is "normal" according to their lab. My original TSH was 3.3 while I was experiencing major hypo symptoms. I finally got my MD to due a full test and the results are below. I had been feeling slightly better for a few days before these tests.
TSH 2.4 (0.5-5.5)
free T3 253 (230-420)
free T4 1.2 (0.8-1.7)
anti-TPO 11 (>35)
I'm waiting to hear from my MD about the results, but I know she's just going to say everything is "normal". I haven't felt well for many years now & would like to request a trial of thyroid meds, but would like some opinions as to whether my tests warrant such a request?
