Question Need help with labs

I first saw an endo in Nov last year. He took ull bloodwork and started me on metformin 1000mg daily. He repeated some bloodwork and did some new tests in january. I don't really know what any of them mean in terms of my PCOS. Endo has given up on treating my PCOS and I dont really know why. He told me there is nothing else he can do that wont be counterproductive (ie adding bcp or progestone withdrawal). If anyone understands labs enough to help me understand if my status is really that bad, or is my body just not cooperating?

I'm sorry to say I can't really help you. I just had labs done but it wasn't as comprehensive as your tests. My doc did mention that it was important in diagnosing pcos to look at the LH and FSH ratio but I don't see those numbers listed.

I do notice that your total testosterone dropped about half. Woo hoo! Just curious, did it drop just from the met alone or are you taking another med (bcp or spiro?). My T was 81 and I hope being on these meds will help mine drop too.

Another thing I noticed is that your cholesterol is slightly elevated. Did your endo mention anything about that or putting you on cholesterol meds?

That first drop was just from metformin alone! I also got a letter from my endo yesterday stating that my DHEA-S had dropped from 431 to 200 (woohoo) but he wants it below 100 so he doubled my steroid!

As for LH/FSH ratio, I think I had those tests on bloodwork I had done a few months before, so he didn't test this again. My diagnosis was made over a decade ago, this is just the first treatment and consultation I have had with endo. Previously I have been put on BCP and had 3 cycles of clomid/provera
