Talking Need help from the masters...

Ladies, long story short, I am pregnant. I cannot take the 3 GTT hour test (however failed the 1 hour test at 184 but with my body I cannot give an accurate reading of these tests so we are not sure if that is a fluke). I decided to just pretend I have GD, even though my AC1 was normal.

I wanted to know what range should I be in- approx. 1 hour after I have eaten?

For breakfast I was 80 before, 129 after
for lunch, I was 87 before, 122 after

I will be meeting with a specialist- but still thought I could ask... My sister (who is also pregnant) said 125 is the "good to stay under range"... however is this 1 hour or 2 after you've eaten?

The diabetic educator says between 60-90 before breakfast, however my Endo says 80-120 and after meals should be 120-140 Keep in mind that the higher end of both is not recommended...between 80-90 is a great range before breakfast and I would shoot below 140 after meals as well. Also, ask your Dr....they know best, and they know your body.

Hope I've helped a bit....I'll be working on TTC most likely by february...my levels are great so far.....my endo said that I'm doing beautifully....better than expected!! Just waiting for the next HGA1C in January to see if its below 6.5.

Congrats on your new little one!!

Oh, P.S. levels should be tested about two hours after meals, and before you eat your breakfast.

Default Thanks!

Thank You!

I heard from my PA, and she relayed the same information from the Diabetes specialist.

2 Hours it is!
