Unhappy Need Help with Medications?

Hi. My name is Hillary. I am have been diagnosed with pcos since I was 21. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance when I was 24. However, I have been struggling with the symtoms of pcos since I was eleven. Anyway, currently, I am taking 1000mg of Metformin, micronor 28mg, and 150mg of Effexor XR. For the past six months or so, I have had alot of trouble with my weight going up and down from size 16 to 22 or 18 to 22. The water retention is getting to be very embarrasing and it seems like my hormone levels are all out of whack. I have been on micronor for about a year I would say. However, I have done some research and recently heard that taking progesterone only pills makes the pcos symtoms worse. I have been having alot of gas from the metformin and it makes life unbearable at times. And to make matters worse from the out of whack hormone levels, I am always irritable, moody and tired. I have attempted to go for my hour a day walks but sometimes the water retention plays a number on my back. I have started doing aqua fit classes but I still feel very discouraged mainly with the way things are right now. So, to simplify this for you all, (1) Are there any medications that a person can take that do not cause gas? (2) Is Yasmin good to take for a BCP? (3) Is there any tips on how to beat the enormous problem with water retention? I just would like to feel some peace instead always biting people's heads off. I am so thankful I have a very, very patient fiance. One last question (4) What can a person do to avoid having extreme vaginal secretion from the intense pressure that the amount of water retention puts on the bladder (I have a small one). Thank you all so much for reading this if you have. Thank you.

You might want to try taking a fiber supplement. That should help with the water ret, and after a few days, the gas too. Hope you feel better soon.
