Question need help....... traveling question?
Hi ladies I need some help/advice I wanted to take DH to Canada for his birthday and also as a vacation (we have been together 8.5 yrs and have never been on a vacation for that matter never traveled anywhere!) but here is the problem my aunt told me we need a birth certificate and ssn for our son and the problem is the adoption is not finalized yet so we cannot get the birth certificate or ssn. Is there anyway the adoption agency can give me something to show at the border that we are adopting him or can I take the papers showing that we are adopting him and the papers with are court appointment to show are finalization date? I was planning on going this week wednesday-friday but I don't know if we will be able too has anyone done this or know what we can do?

I would contact your agency and see what they recommend. We traveled several times before our adoption was finalized, but it wasn't out of the country. We did, however, get a statement from our agency stating that Jack was in our custody for purposes of adoption.

Please share what you find out, I have seen this question posted on other forums as well.

Okay so here's the deal....................


WERE GOING TO CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The adoption agency says they will send me a notarized letter saying they have custody of the child, I'm adopting him, and they are giving me permission to take him out of the country for vacation!!!!!

I'm so happy.

Thats true there are alot of people wanting to do traveling now my agency said tye have had alot of people wanting to travel to Canada recently so I guess I was not the only one with the idea and I was so worried.
