Need a male opinion

I realize I've already posted a similar message like this in the Do You Have this Problem? column but I just wanted to get an opinion from men also. What is the best way to tell a boyfriend about my PCOS? The body hair, hairloss, ugly tummy, everything? I've been talking to some guys online recently and several of them turned me down because of this. I don't want to wait until I get to know them to tell them because I want to see right off the bat if they are shallow. Is that a good idea? Also, do you think women with PCOS can look just as pretty as these "weeeee look at me I don't have a hormone problem so I can just strut my stuff" type of women? Thanks, and God bless!

I would say that the best thing to do is to just be honest & upfront about having PCOS- which it sounds like you're doing already. If they lose interest because of that, then they weren't really the type of guy you'd want to be involved with anyway, right ?? You want a guy who's going to love you unconditionally and care about you for who your are...not just what you look like.

I can honestly say that from my experience, women with PCOS can be just as ( if not more ) beautiful than women who don't have PCOS. I know that my DW is the most beautiful woman in the world to me, and the physical effect that PCOS has on her definitely does not keep me from finding her attractive or sexy.

So don't give up hope...there is a guy out there who will love you just the way you are, and will think that you are the most beautiful woman in the world. I wish you the best of luck !!!

I have to agree with TxHubby
Be up front and honest about it all, my DF was and i find her very attractive and sexy. Keep looking and you'll find a guy who will find you sexy and attractive no matter what you have, My DF Julie has told me numerous times she thought she would never find anyone, but she has and I love her inspite of Pcos.

I just had to jump in here real quick. I also thought I would never find anyone who would think I was pretty. But things happen when you least expect them... When I finally started to realize that I could take care of myself and I stopped "hunting" for someone, he just showed up. He tells me everyday how beautiful I am and if we see other girls that I think are gorgeous, he always tells me that I have something special about me, and they don't even compare. So believe it or not, there really are some great guys in the world and I'm sure there is one for you!!
