Exclamation Need opinions!!!

I have had PCOS for while now but was just recently diagnose this year. I have been having problems with my doctors not being very informed and I don't feel like I'm getting the help I need. I would like to know ANY treatment options any of you may know of. I am taking provera right now and I think I need something to help more with the insulin because diabetes runs in my family. Any ideas?!

Most doctors will put you on Metformin...(it helps control insulin levels, if your producing too much insulin) As far as doctors go...a Endocronoligist is the best one for PCOS....I hope this helps a little.

It does help, thank you. I was sent to a ob gyn and they were absolutely no help. I just heard from one other person that I should go to a endocrinologists also and I wasn't sure if it they were right but now since I heard it from two people I'm going to find one for sure. It makes since going to someone who specializes in glands. thanks
