My Mood: Points: 554.97 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 554.97 | Need a PCOS friendly doc in Bay Area?? I need to find a doctor who doesn't dismiss PCOS as irregular periods & mood swings. It's really depressing! I've been to tons of docs in the bay area & sacramento. I was diagnosed in 2002 & the closest I've had to success with a doc was in Mexico. I currently have painful cysts & i'm tired of hearing "it's not a big deal, you're fine.." I don't mean to rant, but geez. I really need to got a hold on PCOS, it's gotten a hold of my life for 6 yrs & i'm ready to fight back!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

I am sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time finding a good doctor in the Bay Area. Dr. Marvin Masada is a general practitioner, but he seems to understand the link between IR and PCOS. He is one of the frew doctors that actually know anything about PCOS. You might want to give him a call. It might be a good place to start if you are interested in Western medications for PCOS.

My Mood: Points: 2,872.97 Bank: 233,164.74 Total Points: 236,037.71 | I just found out my ob/gyn is closing her practice. Now I have to find a new dr. I'm going to look up Dr. Masada, but I'm wondering if anyone else has some suggestions? I'm in San Jose and looking for a PCOS knowledgeable ob/gyn. I'm not currently TTC.
TIA
