Hello all!
I lost my job back in mid-July (two weeks after we bought our first house) and things have been TOUGH! I tested for a new position with a company that I would really like to work for. I have a friend that works for them and is the happiest I have seen her. She heard thru the "grapevine" that I had the job. I spoke to the recruiter and she acted VERY positive as well. However, the actual supervisor has yet to call. I spoke to her for just a second on the phone on Tues, and she told me she would get with me on Wed, or at the very latest by the end of the week to discuss employment, guidelines, and options.
It is Friday at 315 and I have not heard from her. I just called and the recruiter said that she was gone for the day already and that she probably was too busy to call.
ARRGGHH... I am SO stressed. My friend assures me that they WILL call, but the wait is killing me. And now, of course, it is a holiday weekend so it would be Tues. at the EARLIEST that I heard from her.
I understand that she has been busy (she supervises close to 100 employees) and last week she was off Monday with a sick kid, Tues and Wed she was in corporate meetings, and then she was off Thurs and Fri. I am sure she came back to a stack of paperwork to the ceiling and I know that the position was not going to start immediately so they are probably not in a HUGE hurry to get somebody trained, but honestly I can't stand the wait...
Either way... I just want some prayers for things to work out. I have been worried that they found someone else or something and are just blowing me off... I doubt that actually happened, but my mind goes crazy when left alone LOL...
So any prayers that things will work out (and soon!) would be greatly appreciated before we get TOO far behind on our bills...
