I tell my mom everything...but I can't bring myself to tell her about being on anti-depressants. I dont' know why. I know she's going to worry...and she has alot on her mind.
I've thought about not telling her at all, but we're all going to the beach in October and she'll know then.
Any advice?
Hugs
Julie

Julie, I'm not really sure what to tell you. I would just go ahead and wing it. Let her know that you had problems, but your taking steps to look after things. You've done well by getting treated, so theres nothing that she should be worried about.
I think I'm going to talk to her tomorrow. I just hate to add things on her. My brother dumps on her enough...LOL
How are you doing?

I think it will be easier than you anticipate Julie. You've taken the big steps already, so theres not too much left to be done. I'm sure it will go fine.
I'm doing alright. I've decided to hold off on seeing the doctor to see if maybe its just situational depression that goes away once I get busy doing things again. Dh and I have had some very serious talks and it really looks like things might be workable. I have to attribute so much of that to you all on this forum. Everyone is so helpful and supportive.
Anyways, much luck with your mom. I can understand how you dont want to give her anything to worry about, but you'll do fine.
(((HUGS))) I'm not sure what to tell you, I wish I had some kind of mind blowing advice. But I don't. When I went on anti-depressants it was DH that I have a problem telling. But I just told him exactly what the doctor said. That if I didn't do something with my anxiety and stress, My blood pressure would continue to rise and I would probably die very young with a stroke. I thought he would go crazy, but he didn't. He just said, "Well, whatever you need to make you healthy!" I couldn't believe that he took it so well. Maybe that is the way that your mom will handle it.
Either way, I still love ya!!!
((((HUGS)))))

I was going to tell her today....but the time just never seemed right. I keep hoping there will be a "perfect time".
Maybe when we go to the Library this weekend.
Love you too Tanya-poo
