Question Need some advice... cramps after MC

Heya ladies. Heres a quick run down of my story... I got an HCG trigger on april 1, did the whole 2 ww thing, then on the 14 took a test and it was BFN, called RE who told me to stop taking prometriumon the 15 so i would bleed, then on 22 called him back cause still no bleed, took beta it was positive 292, the numbers continued up very slowly, he was suspecting ectopic but then on the 29, with my numbers at 998 in the morning, that evening had very bad cramping and spotting... MC at 5 weeks. so i rested, which was hard cause during that whole time my husband was home on leave from iraq. But the bleeding got bad then by the 7 it had stopped (day my husband left back to iraq). My HCG as of the 7th was back down to 4.5 so i know i miscarried. Well now for the last few days, i have had some pretty crampy feelings in the same area, lower back, and uterine area. I have also just felt not right, check my temp and i dont have a fever although i feel like i am sweating to death and my a/c is down way low!! I am always hot or really cold.
Any suggestions what could be going on? Also, i know I am RH- but the doc never had me get the shot am i gonna be ok next time?
Thanks for your help ladies

I'm so sorry you're going through this, and what horrible timing I know that being a military wife must be hard enough (I have a LOT of respect for you!), and now this

Your temperature sensitivity is probably due to the wacky hormones involved when you miscarry. As for the rhogam, you should definitely ask your doctor about why he didn't give you one. I don't know if they are given for really early miscarriages, so you should ask.

I just want to offer lots of hugs! I don't know how they handle the Rh factor in this early of a pregnancy, so definitely ask. Your cramping is probably normal because hormones fluctuate a lot after something like this goes on... it can take months to get back to normal. The temperature is probably the same thing, like Adrianne said. Just take good care of yourself. I'm very sorry about your loss.

My SIL is RH- and also has PCOS and she had a m/c in Nov of 03. She was 9 weeks along but the baby stop @ 6 or 7 weeks. They didn't give her the shot and didn't give her one this time till about 24 or 26 weeks. So I would *think* if your not far along they don't give it. Now I am not a doc just know what they did with my SIL. HTH

A friend og mine is Rh- and she only got the shot after her 2nd m/c because they tested her blood after both m/cs and she only needed it after the 2nd. I know very little about it but I understand you only need it if your blood shows the presence of antibodies or something. I would certainly ask about it though, it may have been overlooked. As for the cramping, I am still cramping occassionally, I think it is my uterus contracting to get it back shrunk like pre-pregnancy. I'd ask ob though, just in case something else is going on. Good luck!

I spoke with RE... he stated that I did not need Rohgram because i was only 5 weeks along and my hcg never got above 1000, but to trust me he is very liberal about rhogram so i will get it when i am ready. They drew more blood to make sure numbers were at 0 and never called back so i am guessing they were fine, and i am just feeling the hormones and stuff getting bac to normal. Thanks ladies for all of your help. I dont know what I would do without this site!
