Default Need some help ladies!

Okay i have been trying to get preg. for 10 years. i met my husband in hs in 98 and in 99 was diagnosed with pcos after taking 1 round of depo vera!!! i went 4 years without one cycle. it is not that we were trying to get preg but we never used any protection after i got the shot of depo. well we got married in 06 and still no luck ttc. i gained 60 lbs in 3 years, very bad facial hair, adn i feel drained and tired all the time. i went in 2005 and had the ovarian drilling which did not help at all. I did 3 rounds of clomid, and i dont know if I O'd or not, my doctor was not so interested in seeing me and i could never get a appointment to see if my levels were correct or if i o'd or not. I had to induce my cycle each time. Well after the clomid failing and the glucophage i was presicribed that made me so sick, i gave up. My husband and I had some financial issues and ended up moving from MD to FL to make it here. well I think the stress had really taken a number on me and me and hubby really want a family of our own. So now that i am here , i have lost 21 lbs, gained 7 back, lol, and started this month after my own cycle which came back 3 times in 4 months on my own (guess cause i lost weight) and now am using Natrual Progesterone Cream, 40 drops of Vitex 3 x a day and macca root and cinnamon. Is there anyone with the same issues as me that tried somethign different. I dont want to go back to the doctor and dont have the money to do other things. I jsut want to know if someone has had a success story with some of the same issues as me and maybe some advice on how to proceed. At this time I can't even tell when I ovulate or if i do. I have those pains on my side like I am ovulating but I can't seem to get the CM Thing down and the temps are all over the place! Any Advice?

Default Accidental BFP with PCOS

I have had PCOS since I was 14. In my early 20s I ballooned to 180 pounds (I am only 5'4") and had not had uninduced AF since I was about 14. I tried to concieve with my first husband but it never happened. We had no insurance and I had no real knowledege of what having PCOS meant so we did not do anything but baby dance rgularly and hope. That marriage ended quickly and I went back on OCP.

When I was 23 I decided to stop the BCP since I "knew" I could not get pregnant anyway. I had AF in 2-92 when I finished my last pack of OCP and then none. At the same time I started dancing 7 days a week and a f/t job that was very physical. I lost 60 pounds in 4 months, taking my weight to 120 pounds. In 10-92 my breasts became very sore and my best friend told me I was pregnant. I told her there was no way I was pregnant but POAS to make her stop bothering me. It was a BFP and my son was born on 7-4-93.

After my son was born I slowly gained the weight back and got married to my DH. We TTC for 8 years. We did BBT, metformin for a short time and clomid after provera induced AFs for six cycles. We never did get another BFP and I decided to stop after I turned 30.

Long story short, weight loss is huge to help you get pregnant! Weight gain is caused by but also contributes to the hormonal balances that keep us from getting pregnant. Learn all you can about how PCOS women lose weight and do everything you can to lose weight. I don't think the medications and supplements are much help without weight loss as well. I don't even think you have to lose as much as I did to make a difference. They say that 5-20% can make a big difference in the hormones.

I hope this helps. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!!
