Default Need some information from those who know...

Hi! I am Lisa and I have had PCOS for years, but never really worried about it because my symptoms are mild compared to other things in my life. I am worried though now, because of some weird things that have been occurring in the last few days.

I was on about 5 mil. of Aygestrin to stimulate my period- have used it in the past and it worked. Well, my BF and I have not been using any protection (we are both of the age that if something happens, it will happen) and now I have missed my period for about 8 weeks. I stopped taking the medicine and called my doctor, because it was making me sick and I honestly dont want to take it if that is the case. No period this month, only a mild spotting- very mild- and that was when we were "making love". Ok... called the doctor, she said to take a pregnancy test and then if no results- take another one at the end of the month. Not to take the aygestrin again- and if I was not going to take the meds, to have an IUD put in (I said no to that- I have heard horror stories about them). I am having hip pain (figured that is from the PCOS) and mild nausea- again something I attributed from the PCOS. I am just worried it could be something else. Anyone experienced anything like this? I am 38 years old, so pregnancy does not scare me- other complications do though...

are you positive the pain is your hip? I had an ovarian cyst rupture a few months ago, and it almost felt like it was my hip that was hurting, but I realized that it wasn't...the pain was too much in the front, in the area the ovary is. plus, I felt nauseous, and had some spotting/very light AF during that time. dr's can't do too much for ovarian cysts that have ruptured...heating pads helped so much with the pain, though.

I honestly dont know. I am feeling better, other than some nausea and acid reflux feeling- but I am not hurting now. I was told by the doctor to take another pregnancy test on the 30th and if it is negative- to go in to be checked. Guess that means I have a few more days to worry.
