I am 23 years old, I am single(any of you know any guys that like chunky hairy girls with a great sense of humor!) anyway I am on my last semester of school. I also babysit alot and love my little kids I watch. Though I am feeling my biological clock ticking. Is that odd that a 23 year old is feeling this? I love kids and I can't pass a baby stroller without looking in! I don't know what to do becuase it seems that having a baby is very far into my future. Has anyone else experienced this? Any input would help? I just am feeling really stupid becuase no one my age is thinking about babys and stuff.
It's not odd for any female at any age to feel like she wants a baby! Just because your friends are on a different page, doesn't mean you are wrong in the way you feel.
I was 20 before I met my now DH, and 22 when we got married. That is actually young these days for marriage! Many women are delaying marriage and having kids till their late 20s, early 30s, so don't make yourself feel like your clock is running down already!
The kind of man that will stand by you through the tough times is the kind of guy that will never notice you have more hair than the average woman! Don't settle for any less!
I actually felt something similar towards the end of college. That's a normal female feeling anytime gut I think that finishing school and moving on with adult life does something to make the biological clock tick really loud for a little while. Mine settled down a lot when I got started on a career, graduate school, etc.
Like Jashobeam said, a lot of women wait a while, and I'm one of them. I actually don't know anyone from college who got married before about 27, and most were over 30. Don't worry about how you're feeling -- you can't help your emotions, right?
Congratulations on finishing school! Enjoy this time on your own!

I'm 19 and can't wait to have a baby. I love children and can't wait to endure the pain and enjoy the new little life that we create. Just try not to let it get to you. Have a great day!!!

Not abnormal at all to be thinking about it. Although I was told I did have a bio clock ticking and if I wanted children to get to it before 25 (*note this had more to do with family history in combo with PCOS). I was 22 at the time.
As for finding a full figured goddess friendly guy-- check out the BBW sites. (big beautiful women) Sometimes you'll find you aren't chunky enough!

It is normal to feel that way..I felt that way at 16 when I met my now dh. We started dating when I was 18 and married when I was 20 and dh was 23. We had our first child when I was 21 and our second child when I was 23. Nothing wrong with feeling like you do.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get over it, because it will obviously be a long time before I can actually start to ttc so what do I do until then? How do I get my mind off of it?
I don't think it's silly for you to be thinking about your biological clock. I mean you definetly don't have anything to worry about anytime soon, but I know a lot of my friends (I'm 24) have children, and those that don't are building up relationships in hope of getting to that point. You seem like you are around children a lot and wanting one of your own doesn't sound like an odd thing to me. Congratulations almost being done with school!

Possibly by preoccupying yourself with something else. Sounds like you will be busy finishing school, looking for a job, etc. I wish I could have another little one and I just try to keep my mind off of it because I know when it comes time things will be wonderful.

Sweetie...dont't feel bad at all Iam only 21 years old and have been feeling this way for a lil while now, part of me thinks it's because there's that question inside of me that wonders will it ever happen for me??? So dont feel bad your not alone.
I am majoring in biology with an emphasis on microbiology. I am trying to find a job as a medical lab assistant right now but eventually I want to go back and get my masters in research! My other goals are getting married and having a nice medium sized house(I hate to clean) and kids of coarse!)
