Question Need some input...help

Okay - I have been away for awhile but found my way back here...
I have been under treatment since last december for PCOS and was put on metformin to start. My periods are still not completely normal. My last period was on May 26th and to date nothing. I went to the doc 2 weeks ago to have a blood test for pregnancy - it was negative. To date I still have no period. The last 2 weeks or so I have been having this goopy feeling like I am going to get my period but NOTHING...then yesteday I went to the bathroom and am now getting brown spotting when I wipe.
I am so confused and frustrated - not sure if I should go buy a test, call the doc again or just wait and see. I am frustrated at this whole process and tired of going to the doc for this or that.
Any advise or is this nothing to worry about?
Thanks for any input - Heather

Argh, I know it's frustrating, but go back to your doc. Unusual spotting is actually not that unusual when it comes to PCOS, my gp has said to me. Things can be done with it, though.

As frustrating as it is,go back and see your Doctor.
There has to be something more that they can do.
Are you TTC because if not BCP may be another option.
Welcome back!

The spotting is actually a common symptom of PCOS. What is the dosage of your Glucophage? You probably will have to go back to see the doc. They gave me Progesterone to prime the pump so to speak. However, I've not had a regular period on my own to date. There are several things the doc can try. Putting you on Clomid and Glucophage is one of them (if you want to get pregnant). Usually low doses of Clomid at about 0.5 combined with Glucophage is enough to get pregnant with less of a chance of multiple pregnancies. Good Luck!
