Default Need some PCOS advice, need help?

Hello,

I am new to the site. I will be turning 22 next week. I have been with my husband for almost five years now. I currently don't have any medical insurance so I am taking the last of my bottle that I have left of metformin. I was also feeling down today cause I went to my cousins baby shower yesterday and we are about the same age. So of course everyone was asking when I'm going to have a baby?? So I have been having the baby blues really bad. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I should continue my treatment once I have completed my last bottle of metformin? Not taking care of my PCOS is one of my main concerns because I want to have children so bad and I just wish it was easy as most girls who are not cursed with stupid PCOS. So if anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Tanya

Red face

hi~ i also do not have insurance but i go to a clinic that takes low income patients on a sliding scale. i pay 20 to 25 per visit. i get my metformin at walmart which only cost $4 per month. the only problem i am running into is my dr. not wanting to prescribe clomid for me, i think she figures no insurance=no baby, which i kinda understand but i have a bad case of baby fever!! have you looked into whether there is a low cost clinic in your area? also there are prescription assistance programs for certain medications available. good luck, and hang in there!!
