Hi mjoy!
It's been a while - I'm excited that you're moving on to injects, and I hope it works for you! (Definitely ask again on the TTC general board, and on the injectables threads - I don't think you'll get many answers here.)
As for what to expect: except for the price (ouch!), as well as the amount of time needed for monitoring, none of it is that bad.
I injected Puregon (which is Follistim in the U.S.) until I had a follicle ready to go, which took 18 days (cd3-21 - longer than expected, since I wasn't really responding to the meds), and then received a trigger shot from the nurse because I wasn't surging on my own. DON'T WORRY if you can't remember the injection instructions from the nurse, since Puregon's web site has videos that show you, step by step, what to do. (Let me know if you can't find it online.)
The needles do not hurt at all (honest). The trigger hurt more (it left a big welt on my arm), but even that wasn't so bad.
Pm me if you have any more questions, or if you need help in the middle of your first injection!
