today i go to the ob for the results of the tests done on the baby. i don't know what would be good news. should i hope she had a chromosomal defect and DH and i are not able to make a healthy child? should i hope she was healthy and i am the problem? should i hope i have an autoimmune disease? should i hope it for something environmental like the caffeine in my one cup of hot tea a week?
what's good news?
really? i just dont know.
i want there to be something fixable. i want there to be something to blame.
i could use some encouragement or someone to tell me what i should hope for.

So sorry for your loss. I know for me personally, finding a solid reason why this keeps happening is comforting. If I can find a solid reason why, and therefore take steps to prevent, I will feel much better about TTC again. I hope you are able to find answers and something that is easily fixable so you never have to go through this again. ((hugs))
i pray your appointment goes well today. CAnt say what to wish for all i can say is that i pray they dont say " We cant seem to find the reason" because that was the reason i go the 1st time i m/c'd and it sucked. well i went. and it's worse than i thought... they have no idea. there is no explanation.
hmmmm.
i did get a referral to maternal fetal medicine specialist. i also made my first appt back with my RE again. may 13th was supposed to be my next prenatal appt, now it's with RE.
isn't it funny how things work?
i cried thru my whole appt. and for an hour afterward. this is still so surreal.

Dianna-Have they done the full repeat pregnancy loss testing on you? It looks in your siggy like this was your first loss, but since it was a second trimester loss I think it definitely warrants all the testing. I would definitely push for it if you haven't had it. ((hugs)) I hope you are able to get some answers.
my first loss was ten years ago - i was 20 and it was an accident.
b/c of this being in the second trimester we are going to start repeat loss testing.
i am just so disappointed that the testing on me at the hospital showed no reason for the labor, and the testing on the baby showed no abnormalities, so it's been a week and i have no answers. i need a reason, a cause and effect, for everything.
this is torture.

Dianna ~ I know how you feel. It stinks not knowing what the cause is. Because IMO it leaves it open to happen again if you can't "fix" it. I feel the same way. It's scary. But there is a LOT more testing they can order other than chromosomal. I hope you find something. Sometimes I feel kinda crazy going "I hope there is something wrong".. I don't think anyone ever says that. But when you have no reason... you can only hope to find something. I wish you the best of luck!
