Default Nervous about results

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday I went to the doctor because I have not had a period since mid-October. I had read online that if I did not have a period after 90 days I should see my doctor. After a few negative pregnancy tests (my husband and I aren't trying to get pregnant, so I figured they would turn out neg.) and talking to some of my friends and my mother, I decided I had better head into the dr's office.

A pregnancy test in their office also turned out negative. Doctor did a pelvic exam and said she did not find anything abnormal, but wanted to run labs. I have been extremely stressed lately with work and family matters - she said if I do end up starting my period again, that could be the issue. At this point in time, the dr. and I decided I didn't really need any anxiety/depression meds.

I had blood drawn for a couple of labs. She said it could help reveal whether I possibly had a thyroid or pituitary (sorry - think I spelled that wrong) problem or PCOS. She said based on my symptoms, it kind of looked like PCOS and she gave me a pamphlet to read so we could discuss it at my next appt. Jan 7. Depending on my results, I may need to do more labs that require a fast beforehand.

I'm sorry if this post seems like it is going nowhere, but I just wanted to know if anyone else is in a similar situation and wants to talk about it or if anyone can kinda talk me through what's going on with the labs/testing.

Thank you for your help! I hope everyone has a great day/weekend.
