I saw a commercial for this new product the other day and was interested in trying it. I don't have much of an acne problem while I'm on bcp's, but my skin is really red around my chin and mouth from years of acne and plucking. I've thought about seeing a dermatologist, but I'd rather wait until I've got the PCOS monster under control. No sense just clearing the way for more, right?
Anyway, has anyone tried this yet? Surprisingly enough, the website doesn't say how much it costs. Anyone know that?

I've used it for hyperpigmentation from acne, and it really hasn't helped too much. Sometimes it makes my skin redder because it's so irritating. If you are trying to get rid of overall redness this probably isn't the best product for you. I think it's @ $15.
Good luck!

Thanks for the response. I was afraid someone would say that. I'm getting married next year and hope to have my skin problems (along with the other ones) at a minimum by then. I thought maybe this could be an inexpensive way to get started...
I guess I'll just have to see my dermatologist about it. I just HATE people looking at my skin under bright lights and a magnifying glass.

I just wanted to say that I went to a dermatologist for 10 years starting at age 11. They somewhat helped control the acne with different products but it was not until I got on BCP that I was really able to get it under better control. I think with PCOS, it is better to get the hormones (excess androgens) under control.

I totally agree. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to stop taking bcp's. They're the only thing preventing my face from being covered in scaly, red bumps. It's awful. My teenage acne was never that serious (although I of course thought so at the time,) but in my early 20's when PCOS hit full force, my face got red and bumpy and hairy....it was pretty traumatic.
But the only thing bcp's don't help is the redness. It's not exactly scarring, but my chin area is not the same color as the rest of my face or my neck. I hate it.
