I'm new here & never knew that there were so many other women out there that have PCOS. I found out when I was 13 years old and now I am 21. I honestly don't know much about it seeing as how my first doctors basically used me as a ginipig to the sickness. My seconds doctors only told me i had it. I went to a specialist but he didn't do much other than take my weight and tell me the same thing that I either read online or heard from another doctor. I've never spoken with someone who actually has PCOS, I never knew there was anyone else. I always thought I was the only one. No one knew what it was till I was diganosed. I'd like to make friends and learn more about PCOS.
It is amazing to go to this site and see how many women there are. It is great to have this kind of support. You are young enough to be able to take control of this.

I know exactly how you feel! I have recently been diagnosed myself after years of symptoms. I've read heaps of stuff on the internet and this forum and they pretty much say the same thing. It's not the same as talking to someone who is experiencing the same thing as you. Good luck.
I know how you feel. I was diagnosed at 11 and I am 25 now. I am just now feeling as though I am taking control. I love it here. I dont feel crazy here. Finally a group of women who understand what I have had to deal with! Good luck to you. If you have any questions I am an open book.
SC rocks! One thing I've definitely learned around here is that no matter what you may encounter, in life or in life with PCOS, someone is going through/has gone through the same thing. It's a wonderful support system!

yeah it's amazing just how many women here go thru the same exact thing you are. i've had to stop reading because i began crying when i saw other women with my same problems

Its human nature, always in search of others alike and It feels quite encouraging to see many of you out there sharing the same situation and conditions. I just had to stop myself crying over my symptoms when i read others complaining about even worse conditions.
