Well I have NO idea whats going on.
I started my period when I was about 11. They were normal and regular, then around 17 or so, they started to become irregular. At one point I went 9 months with out a period. After that I went to the OBGYN and she said I had dysplasia. She froze a spot. Nothing changed.
Because my DH and I move alot I have seen 3 different OBGYNs about this. The last one I went to was about 3 months ago. I told him all my symptoms and what was going on and he didnt even examine me!!!!! He just told me to get dressed, gave me some paphlets, and told me that I probably have PCOS!! And thats all. Oh and he also told me that if we werent trying to have kids, which we are, he could put me on BCP, which I have been on before, or if we were trying, then he could put me on some other meds. But thats as far as it went.
Now we dont have insurance so I cant go back to another DR. I will NOT be going back to that guy tho!
Any advice??
I just wanted to say hello to a fellow navy wife. How come you don't have insurance anymore? We're TTC #1. The drug he most likely suggested was Metformin. I'm taking it and eating healthy and exercising and got my own AF a few days ago, first non-drug induced period in a few years. Good luck with everything.

We dont have insurance because DH is now in the reserve. He is a full time student at UTK, doing a summer internship at Anheuser Busch. We are currently considering him joining NUPOC. If he does it will be in October of this year. So... that will be the soonest we will have insurance.
DH spent 6 years in the Navy before we met, he got out right before he met me, and has been in the Reserve since then. But like I said, he might be going back in full time.
I thought they still offered tricare even in reserves? Good luck whatever ya'll decide. Diagnosis is the first step, hon.

Just wanted to say hello and welcome. So sorry for your frustrating experiences with dr's, i'm in the same boat myself right now unfortunately. I hope you get insurance soon, in the meantime, i'm sure you'll find lots of info and support here!
