I am new to this site but definitely not a newbie when it comes to PCOS! I am 20 yrs old now but was diagnosed when I was 11. So I have been dealing with it for 9 yrs. I educated myself throughout the years and seem to know more than my doctors. Isn't that a cause for worry? My about me section in my profile explains it in more detail if you're interested.

Welcome Leah! Unfortunately, it looks like there are MANY doctors out there who don't know anything about PCOS. We tend to learn more by educating ourselves it seems...

I'm sure we'll learn a lot from each other.

welcome to sc yes, i think in some ways we do know more about pcos than a dr does if you arent happy with your dr, could you see a different one instead?? thats what i had to do to get some pcos help.
