Hello;

I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago. I went off the pill and I have not had a period for over a year. My husband and I have been TTC for 1 yr. My Dr. has put me on Provera, I just took my last pill yesterday. I am now waiting for my period and then will begin clomid.

I don't really have any other symptoms other than no period but now feel like I am just waiting for all the other things to happen to me. I am feeling very confused right now and am hoping to find some answers here!

Hi! I am kind of new to the site. I had similar feelings when I found this site. I was happy to find people I could relate to but kind of scared by all the symptoms that I didn't even know about before coming here! My red flag to PCOS was hair on my chin and neck. It really sucks! I can't say these things won't happen to you, but it seems to me PCOS is not uniform in how it effects people. Try to stay positive. It's something I have a hard time with, but I'm trying...

I too am having a hard time staying tve. This has come as such a shock. It seems very glum right now. I know I have to stay tve and that things will work out. I have read a lot about a tve mindframe impacting everything. I think I just need to digest this all.

Hi! Our stories are so similar..... after I stopped take my BCP, I stopped having a period. Finally went to the doctor and that's when I found out I had PCOS. It was really hard to grasp and understand at first. And honestly, after my first failed attempt with the Provera/Clomid I kinda threw my hands up. After meeting with other doctors and reading more and learning more about PCOS.... we decided to try again. But like you I had no symptoms other than no regular AF and slightly overweight. On a positivie note... I started Provera/Clomid again last month and this month AF came on its own at the right time (YAY!) so I started the 2nd round of Clomid with the hopes of ovulating! But trust me I have those days where it all seems to be too much, all the thoughts, the questions, the what if's, the anticipation.... but with the support of your friends, family and the other super awesome cysters here it makes things seem bearable. Good luck! =)

This site is amazing!!! When I was first diagnosed 2 years ago I kind of ignored it, or maybe just didn't understand it. Now that I'm TTC ( 1 miscarriage in 2005) it has become such a large part of my life. My period has always been irregular but not it's just ridiculous... I feel like my body is turning on me. I took Provera 1 month ago and still NO PERIOD... Has that ever happened to anyone else? I'm also in Metformin to get some ovulation going but right now I'm just a period-less mess :o( In the mean time I'm trying to shave of a pound or 2 or 15!!! Does anyone have any weight loss tips for someone who HATES exercise?
Thanks in Advance
B
