Hi guys,

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kaitlyn and I'm a 19 year old college sophomore. I've never been "officially" diagnosed with PCOS however my mom is a nurse and our doctor and her both agree that I have it (this has been since middle school at least). I'm going hopefully to an endocrinologist when I get home for Christmas break. Anyways, I just stumbled upon this site while doing some research on different types of birth control and medicines and how to deal with some of the symptoms of PCOS. I've been a little down lately about this whole thing and I hope that this forum can provide me with some support.

Welcome Kaitlyn, I'm Robin. I am 26 and was diagnosed when I was around 19. There are lots of forums that you can join for support with anything. Feel free to talk to me if you like. I remember feeling really down when I found out I had PCOS. Now that I have seen an endocrinologist I have very few symptoms.

TTC 1 1/2 years (1 year with meds)
Metformin 3000 mg
HSG- Clear...nice looking uterus!
DH SA- Good #, little low on the swimming side
5 cycles of Clomid up to the max-No O
1 round of 2.5mg femara-O'd- BFN
5 rounds 5mg femara-O'd BFN (4 IUI's)
BCP in Nov.-Dec.
Femara/Menopur in Jan +IUI

I remember feeling the very same way when I first found out I had PCOS. I felt...broken, haha. I guess, I still sometimes feel that way, but it has gotten easier! Good luck with the doctors' visit; I hope that everything goes smoothly!

Metformin 500mg 2x daily.
Provera 10mg 1x daily for 10 days/month.
Prenatal Vitamins & DHA Supplements.
Started Femara on September 15, 2009.
