Well i joined this site a few months ago but i felt like i didnt fit in since everone has been here so long. Im not really into the whole clique thing... But i still have a ton of questions and i am still struggling with TTC...
I have been taking provera since december excpet last month AF came on her own, but this month she didnt... So i have 3 more pills to take so im sure AF is right around the corner. My problem is that i cant determine when i am ovulating since my P starts at different times each month. I mean if i am taking the Provera does that mean im not ovulating at all?
I just really want to get my body back to normal...
Your in the right place, I haven't been here long either and I know we all fit in because we are dealing with the same issue. Provera didn't do much for me and I'm in the same boat as you are but my doctor put me back on BCP's until I see the fertility doctor, I didn't see af for 9 months. I am currently waiting for some test results so we will see what happens. Good luck and please stay this time there are a lot of women that feel the way you do.

Hi, I'm sorry you didn't feel like you fit in last time you visited. This is really a great place with a lot of supportive people. Everyone is new at some time. I just joined at the beginning of last year. I made friends around here fast and I wish I had found this place so much sooner. It would have been really nice to have this info and support when I was TTC and going through repeat pregnancy loss.
Provera is probably helping you ovulate. Just because you have a period doesn't mean you are ovulating, though. It just means you are shedding your lining. For most women that means that there was an egg released, but not always for PCOSers. You could try charting and see if that helps you detect ovulation. Unfortunately, charting isn't always that effective for PCOSers, either. It works for many, though. The most effective way to know is by having your cycle monitored by ultrasound.
I went over 2 years without AF and ovulated with my first round of provera. My eggs didn't get to a viable size that cycle, though. They didn't become a decent size until I went on injectables.
I dont have any experience with provera, sorry. But I wanted to say that I am sure you will make lots of friends here. I certainly have. Like Laurann said we were all new once.

Welcome Hellokittygirl! I understand what you mean when you said you didn't fit in, I felt the same way when I first joined, but stick it out it gets better. I can't really help with the ttc stuff but I am a good listener if you just want to vent you can email or pm me. Hang out a while everyone is really nice and good luck with the provera.

I don't know much about Provera, but charting worked for me for tracking O. It was also helpful for my dr when the chart showed there was no way I was Oing. GOOD LUCK!!
Just remember all of us were new once. I have only been here for a year and it took me a little bit to find "my place". Stay awhile, we are happy to have you!!!!!
Welcome! I'm new here myself. So far I've found tons of helpful information on this site! I am 37 and have struggled with ovulation as well. I'm currently on Provera. I take it days 1-10 of each month to bring on AF. Without Provera, I either spot constantly or have no hint of a period at all. So I'm not ovulating on my own...Provera is what's doing it for me. Best of luck to you and glad you decided to come back! ((hugs))
