Just thought I'd introduce myself! I'm 21 years old, living in New York City. I recently got diagnosed with PCOS (about a week ago) and 4 days ago, I started taking MET 500mg/day. I think that's the technical way of saying it. I'm very happy to have found this website and in just the past few days, I have learned tons - so I look forward to finding out more information and learning from all of your experiences. I think that's as much of introducing as I can do for now. Feel free to ask me anything, not that I have any experience in anything, this is all very new to me and I'm just trying to adjust. And not to mention, my appetite for water has increased drastically, which is the best adjustment by far. Haha!
Welcome to the group!! I am also 21, I was diagnosed May of 05. Are u increasing your dosage slowly or does your dr plan on keeping you on 500 mg? 1500 a day is considered the lowest effective dose and if your working your way dont pay attention to this at all good to have you here I hope you like it!

Nourania, yup, I am from New York City...I'm guessing you are as well from the profile?
Stephanie, I just started the Met last Friday and have been on the 500mg/day, just one pill. My doctor told me to start off with one pill for a week and then add another one the following week. So on Friday I will be going to 1000mg. So far I haven't had any real issues w/ the Met which I am very thankful for, and I think my body has now become adjusted to it. Except I am extremely thirsty.
