A new BBT? OR denile?

I am convinced or in denile one of the two but I think that my thermometer is broke. I mean for the last 3 days my temp has been 98.4 even when i double test....then I got up this morning and went to put a load of laundry in the washer and to prove myself wrong that it is broke I laid back down and took it again it was only 98.5. So I feel asleep (I was up at 5:45am) woke up at 9:10 took it again ( I am becoming obssesive huh?) and once again it was 98.4 I know it's suppose to remain high but the exact same 3-4 days in a row? Does anyone have a chart like that? SO I can relax and come out of this denile crap. I don't and haven't got excited becasue nothing goes right for me in life but I think for once I should just accept that things can possibly go right for me. I am so negative, could I get a positive? This is my very first month temp'ing and I am just now learning and now some things I know that if it stays high then it could be a good chance but at the same time dropping, at a drop of a dime means AF right? What or around what day will/should it drop how many days before AF is suppose to be here? I know peoples so many questions and I am sorry!

I am going to share I know you all might think I am nuts, but my MOM (GOD bless her soul) passed last year and she told me all my life when you dream of a death it's because a life is created or about to be born well last night I dreamt of my childhood Nana and she passed yeas ago like 20 years, and well in my dream she passed away and I went to go see that family already grown but they were looking for me blah blah but it was weird. I woke thinking of my MOM..what she told me. SO who knows. My friend or used to be friend did have her baby on friday and this morning her friend called me to tell me but I already knew through facebook so I am trying to count that as reason for my dream but we are not friends anymore. Maybe I implanted and life began? LOL I know I am crazy!!! My thoughts anyway...

I would say you MAY need new batteries in your thermometer. It is possible to have temps stay the same like that, but the fact that you got up and walked around, then hours later had the same temp just of by a tenth of a degree seems fishy to me.

This cycle my temps remained high, and today @ 15 dpo i got AF. If you look at my chart my temps are still quite high above the cover line, but did drop .5 degrees. I have seen some charts when peoples temps drop BEFORE AF, and some that drop AFTER AF shows up, so it can vary.
But yea, maybe try new batteries or a new thermometer seeing that those batteries cot just as much as getting a new one ;-) KUP

Chula I like the story about your dream and hopefully you WILL get your BFP! *hugs*

My temps during the luteal phase last month were at 97.7 for like 5 days in a row so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Smeets is right, I would get new batteries or a new digi thermometer seeing as even after getting up your temp only went up .1.

Chula, I have heard that old wives' tale too!! But when I got pregnant with my DD, my sister-in-law was having bad dreams about people dying...then after I told her I was PG, she stopped having the dreams. Weird huh?

I don't know what you should do, but it would probably make you feel better to buy a new thermometer or new batteries for yours. Don't give up hope though. I wish you the best of luck!! Keep us posted. I am also waiting for AF right now so we'll see how this month turns out!

Sorry to hear about your mom. My mom passed away this year in Jan and she used to say that too. I hope you get your BFP and I too suggest you get a new therm, however, I have had that before when I get the same temps in a row..so it can happen...Good Luck!!

Ok ladies I have a new one I just didn't want to use it in this cycle but I did and it said 98.1 at the same time I did the other one 98.4 (main one I use) so I figured that was the difference in the themometer. I might go and see if they have batteries for this one I really like it because it lights up and I like that to see the numbers whereas the new one doesn't. Thanks ladies...I am off now to go see about the batteries!!

That's what I am saying and think my MOM was meaning that when you dream of the dying a new life is created LOL!!! Wives tale or not it still keeps me wondering...

Ok ladies i got a new battery $3.99 I really am attached to this one can't find anohter one either...so hopefully it last a while longer I have had it forever (like 5 years) but I never used it, and broke it out this past month. So we will see if I remain in the 98's

Take a look at my chart. Temps the same for days and days. I thought there was something wrong with my therm. but it was giving me different temps throughout the rest of the day and night. I usually get maybe 3 days each cycle with the same temp post-O. Not sure what it means...
